Big Monday at the Wedge

May 4, 2015 The Wedge, Newport Beach, CA

With a massive southern hemisphere swell deep from the roaring forties off New Zealand the Wedge on Monday saw swells 12 to 15 feet high with faces up to 2o’ +. Not that it was perfect Wedge with each morning suffering from left over wind chop and a minor north west wind swell from the night before the faces were clean and makable. Being only the first week in May and we are already seeing massive southern hemisphere swells, I cannot imagine what the summer and early fall will bring.
